▒▒ Car Punchers Unite ▒▒
I'm cruising downhill on Beechfield the other day on my way to work, and I see that the light to Wilkens is actually green. It's sensor-activated, so it's usually never green. I see a left-turner on the other side waiting, so I signal and set up for my left turn (at about 15mph) and start leaning. After I've already committed to my turn, a pickup truck slips around the left-turner and charges through the intersection right into my path. I have to back out of the turn and panic brake. I think I lifted the back wheel a bit. I yell a 'Fuck You!' to the truck as he roars by, since I'm stuck in the middle of a busy intersection in high gear. And once one motorist blazes a trail, more follow, even after the light turns orange.|
I get the strongest urge to pick up my bike and throw it at one of the assholes running the orange. I already ordered my next bike, so it'd be but a few days' inconvience. Is this a familiar experience for y'all?
